Marlon Tobias is a New York born multi-disciplinary artist whose work is informed by the historical relationship between the communities he represents and the spaces they’ve inhabited.
Through an archival and ethnographical lens, Marlon explores themes of erasure, the Black, rural southern tradition, the intersections of spirituality, religion, and place, domesticity, and the complexities within a family and community.
