Andrea Peguero Gonzalez
Spring 2024, Studio Art Major,
Graphic Design Minor
Andrea Peguero Gonzalez is a BFA student majoring in Studio Art with a minor in Graphic Design. She moved to the U.S. from her hometown of Monterrey, Mexico in 2011, but has kept her heritage close ever since, staying fluent in Spanish and referring to Mexican culture frequently for inspiration. Today, she creates art and illustrations using both traditional and digital outlets. Most notably so far in her artistic career, she won a national gold medal in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in 2021 and showed her first solo exhibition, Cielito, Cielote, in the Oesterle Library Gallery in 2023. While studying art, Andrea has also garnered experience in design by making motion graphics, digital imagery and typography for posters, logos, and videos. Some of her previous clients include NCC’s Office of Student Involvement, Department of Theatre, and English Department. In the future, Andrea hopes to continue to create visual media that is full of energy and can move others.
